Jericho Agro-Industrial Park (JAIP)

In correspondence with the horizontal expansion, diversity of services, partnerships with advanced Palestinian companies and opening ways to implement agricultural and industrial projects to create more job opportunities, Amaar Real Estate Group, the investment arm for the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF), established a company to manage and run the Jericho Agro Industrial Park in Palestine, in partnership with PRICO.  This project aims to combine the experience in real estate development and the huge capability to implement high-quality projects in this sector.  The JAIP Company offers a diversified collection of industrial and marketing solutions for the investors in the JAIP.

JAIP was established to become the leading industrial city in Palestine supported with advanced environmental protection technologies.  The project covers an area of 615,000 square meters, as the first phase was constructed on an area of 140,000 square meters to include an integrated infrastructure that is suitable for the requirements of establishing agro-industrial projects and provision of all advanced technological necessities.   The project also takes into consideration the importance of the environment according to international standards.  This project is located in the eastern side of Jericho City and it is seven kilometers away from King Husain Bridge and ten kilometers away from the Dead Sea (to the north) and 30 kilometers away from Jerusalem. The strategic and the high standard constructional specifications made this city a gate for exporting Palestinian products to the outside world.

JAIP was established to be a model for the sustainable economic development in Palestine, especially because it receives assistance from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to support this project with the latest technological trends in the areas of environmental protection, energy conservation and effective management in the areas of solar power generating, cold chain system and the recycling sewage system.

JAIP has become a major economic leverage that contributes to developing and strengthening the economy of the State of Palestine within an integrated system for sustainable economic development through agro-industry development, encouraging investment and trade, and also finding job opportunities in Jericho and Palestine, in cooperation with neighboring countries.
